It was recently announced that not only will the Engine Performance Expo be returning as an online event, but will also feature spots for up to 200 people to attend, in-person. Scheduled to be held October 12th, 13th, and 14th, 2021 in Piney Flats, Tennessee, the Expo has been scheduled to coincide with the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in nearby Bristol, Tennessee.
Like the first Engine Performance Expo, the event will feature more than thirty sessions over the three-day schedule, featuring hands-on demonstrations and live question and answer sessions with some of the industry’s leading parts and equipment manufacturers, engine builders, and educators. So far, the confirmed list of presenters includes Joe Patelle, George Bryce, Mark Cronquist, Scooter Brothers, Keith and Jeff Dorton, Jon Kaase, Warren and Kurt Johnson, Larry Clark, and Joe Stef.
In addition to covering the latest in engine performance technologies, tools, and engine-building techniques, this year’s Expo will feature several hands-on sessions focused on how to earn a living in the industry. Topics explored will include career paths and training, along with the best practices of building, growing, and managing an engine-building business, from such resources as EFI University, the School of Automotive Machinists and Technology, and the AERA Engine Builder’s Association.
The format will be similar to last year’s with live demonstrations and Q&A sessions being broadcast from Straub Technology’s facility in Piney Flats, with the addition of an in-person attendance option. Online registration, as well as all the latest information, updates, and speakers is available at www.engineperformanceexpo.com. In-person tickets will be available beginning in July.
Like last year, the event will be live-streamed over the three-day period, with the previous day’s segments available on-demand. However, this year, the first two days of the Engine Performance Expo will also be simulcast on the NHRA’s live streaming channel, NHRA.TV. Additionally, the first Engine Performance Expo is available as a 27-part series, with additional episodes released each Thursday on both the Engine Performance Expo’s YouTube channel and directly on the Expo’s website.
